It's not what you think; it's better.
Norm Miller's book, "To all my fans from Norm Who?", isn't about baseball. It's about the people of baseball and how it feels to be in the spotlight (and on the spot). In Miller's tight prose, you can really feel the rush of being recruited out of high school, playing with and against your childhood heroes, and descending into the very real world of professional sports. No one relays those feelings and details better than Norm Miller. Not for children, this is the real thing.

If you ever wondered
If you ever wondered what baseball was like before the huge money, this is your book. If your dad ever wanted you to make it to the "bigs", this is your book. If you like to laugh, this is most assuredly your book. Norm Miller has captured some of the beauty and silliness of the game we all love. Thank you Norm.

The "Semi Tough" of Baseball
I haven't laughed this hard at a sports book since Dan Jenkins' "Semi-Tough," and this is non-fiction. It's not as much about the game of baseball as it is about the techni-colorful characters who play the game. This Norm Who's got a style that is forcing me to use that cliché, "couldn't put it down." Fortunately, you don't have to put it down. I read it in one sitting--and then wished I hadn't. Guess I'll just have to keep it handy as a pick-me-up.

I loved Norm's book
Major league baseball player Norm Miller's '60's memoir of his time in the minors, and then with Houston and Atlanta is a fun way to relive baseball's old days. But Miller's recollections aren't just funny, they really hit the mark, bringing to life the way it was back then. So, if you're looking for an enjoyable read about baseball, Norm's book is certainly the place to go to. I liked it a lot and I think you will too.

A Woman's Review of Baseball
I was buying this book to be a gift for a friend. As a woman, baseball books do not interest me - at all! I started reading a few pages and could not put this book down. This is the first baseball book I have ever read, I loved it! It's as if the story is being told, just to me. The players, managers, road trips, games, I was transported to the time and place. This is a wonderful, true story of the game of baseball. The highs/lows and life of a young player who dreamed the dream, lived the dream, shares the dream and the adventure with us all. To Norm Miller, thanks for sharing your baseball life with me-it was a great experience.
